Biography

Olive Tyler, born 28 Nov 1784 at Preston, Connecticut, was a daughter of John and Mary (Boardman) Tyler.

She married 20 Mar 1806 at Plainfield, Connecticut, Christopher Avery [b. 4 Oct 1781 @ Preston, son of John & Experience (Stanton) Tyler]. They had 7 children:

  1. Albert Avery (1807-)
  2. Mary (Avery) Hoxie (1810-); married James Hoxie
  3. George Avery (1814-1881); married Margaret Selina Elmaette Willes
  4. Elbridge Avery (1816-); married Mary Olivia Bigelow
  5. Abigail Tyler (Avery) Bennett (1819-1895); married Henry Bennett
  6. Wolcott Avery (1822-); married Phebe C. Porter
  7. Lucius Goodwin Avery (1825-1899); married Martha Whiting

Tyler-7666 and Tyler-5799 appear to represent the same person because: Both represent the spouse of Christopher Avery. She was born in Preston. Griswold wasn't partitioned from Preston until after she was born.
