Biography
James's birth was registered in the Jul-Aug-Sep quarter of 1876 in the Castle Ward district.[1] James, son of James Barton Turnbull & Annie, was baptised on 31 July 1878 in Gateshead, Durham, England.[2] In the 1881 census James (age 4) was the son of James B Turnbull on Beech St, Gateshead, Durham, England.[3]
In the 1901 census James (age 24), Joiner, was the married head of household in Benwell, Northumberland, England.[4]
