The Will of William Turnbull late of Dean Cottage Hethersgill in the Parish of Kirklinton in the County of G umber land Labourer who died 25 May- 1891 at Dean Cottage was proved at Carlisle by Grace Dickinson (Wife of Ralph Dickinson) of Chapel Green Hindley in the County of Lancaster and Maria Turnbull of Dykesfield Hexham in the County of Northumberland Spinster the Daughters the Executrixes.
All his brothers were baptised in Kirklinton.
