Biography

George was born in 1873.^[1] He is the son of Thomas Turnbull and Ellen Brown.^[2] Residing in Houston, TX in 1913 when his wife passed away while visiting family in Pineville, LA.^[3] Censused twice in 1920 at different lodging houses, oddly, only 2 days apart, so it appears he moved, although ea. lodging is in the same Ward of Houston TX; notably, his name is reversed in second record, but all other details appear to be correct. Neither census includes his children. He is noted as 'widowed' in each successive census and at his death. He died in a vehicular-bicycle accident while cycling.^[4]
