served at Gallipoli; In a letter of condolence to Mr Dustin, of Wanganui, on the death of the latter’s son at Gallipoli, Lieutenant Frank Turnbull says that he himself “was hit the first minute we got into it and couldn’t move about much afterwards.” [3] He was wounded twice at Gallipoli. [4]
