Biography
Elizabeth was born in 1835. She is the daughter of Chesley Turnbow and Sabra Rose. She passed away after 1907. [1]
Elizabeth and her husband John R. Maloey traveled to Erath Co., Texas by wagon train with her father Chesley Turnbow and 6 other families arriving in Erath County, TX in November of 1855 and settled on Resley Creek. They had 4 children including daughter Sarah born 4 months before her husband John was murdered in 1867. She then married Joseph Key on June 27, 1867 and moved to Burnett County until she returned to Erath County, where she filed for divorce claiming her husband had attempted to rape her 10 year old daughter Sarah.
