Elizabeth was born in 1849 in Hanborough, Oxfordshire.^[1] She was the daughter of Emanuell Turfrey and Mary Buckingham. Her baptism took place at the parish church of St Peter and St Paul on 9th December that year. On the register her father said that he was a labourer.^[2]

She died when she was just 16 weeks old and was buried in Hanborough, Oxfordshire on 10th December 1849^[3][4].
