Martyne was likely born before 1579, and was married in St Anthony in Meneage, Cornwall in 1597. This may have been the family church of either Martyne, his wife, or both.
The spelling of Martyne Tresize is taken from his Will and is being used here as he signed his Will using this spelling for both parts of his name. This tells us he was literate as he didn't use a mark. As this was his own preferred spelling of his name, I've used both in preference to the many variations as written by others.
As Martyne's wife (Eadon/Uden, nee Michall) was buried in Manaccan in 1627, it makes it likely that they went to live at, or changed Parishes to nearby Manaccan, soon after their marriage and before the baptism of their son, Walter, in Manaccan in 1599. The two places are only around 1.5 miles apart.
His Will was dated 8 March 1634 stated that he was a 'Husbandman' (Farmer) and he would have died just before his burial on 2 Oct 1635 at Manaccan.
Of note is that a Richard Tresise is mentioned in Martyne's Will and was a witness to it, along with a Robert Atkins. It is unknown what relationship Richard had to Martyne, but he wasn't one of his children, so was perhaps either a brother or other close relation.
