Obituary [2]
DEATH OF MRS. BOWDEN, OF WAKEFIELD.
Another old identity has been removed from our midst by the death of Mrs. Caroline Bowden, relict of the late Rev Thomas Adolphus Bowden, M.A. Mrs. Bowden had spent the last 33 years of her life in Wakefield. As her late husband was one time the minister here in charge of St. John's Church, she was closely connected with anything relating to the welfare of the church, and was one of its most liberal supporters.

Although Mrs. Bowden was of a quiet, retiring disposition, she was a splendid neighbour, and always ready to help in every good work in our district. Owing to her great age, not because she was an invalid, she had been confined to her home for some years, and her daughter, Miss Bowden, and her son, Mr. Edwin Bowden, were untiring in their care for their aged mother. She died peacefully early on Saturday morning, at the great age of 92 years, and was laid beside her husband in St. John's churchyard on Monday. The funeral service was performed by the vicar, the Rev. J. R. Dart, in the presence of a number of relatives and friends. Mr. E. Bowden, Miss Bowden, and the other members of the family have the sympathy of many friends in their bereavement.
