Malania Tracz was born on January 10, 1878 ^[1], in Iwanówka, Trembowla, Galicia, Austria, the daughter of Tekla and Wawrzyniec.

She married Wasyl Owchar on May 19, 1896 ^[2] . They had 6 children in 10 years.

They immigrated in 1898 ^[3] or 1899 ^{[4] [5] [6]} or 1902 ^[7] to Canada and settled in Canora area of Saskatchewan, farming 11-30-4 W2 ^{[4] [7] [5] [6] [3] [8]} .

She died in 1970 in Saskatchewan at the age of 92. ^[9].
