Edwin Totterdell was born on 23rd June 1902 in Marple, Cheshire, England, United Kingdom. He was the firstborn child of Samuel Totterdell and Ethel Swindells. [1]
Together with his parents, Edwin migrated to Western Australia in 1903, making their home in Subiaco.
Edwin married Margaret Milne in 1927 in Pingelly, Western Australia. [2]
On 12th October 1942 in Melbourne, Victoria, Edwin enlisted in the Royal Australian Air Force for service during the Second World War. He was later commissioned as a Flying Officer, before being discharged at war's end on 7th August 1945. [3]
Aged 62 years, he passed away in 1962 in Perth, Western Australia. [4]
