Hannah Tiler was born at Winchcombe, Gloucestershire, England in 1771. She was baptised at St Peter's Church, Winchcombe on the 22nd December 1771, the daughter of Thomas and Hannah Tiler[1].
She married Charles Lawrence (as Hannah Tyler) at St Peter's Church, Winchcombe on the 18th December 1794.[2] They were described as "Charles Lawrence of Gretton in this parish and Hannah Tyler of the same." Witnesses to the marriage were Charles Rickards and John Lecey.[3]
They had the following identified children baptised at Winchcombe:

Charlotte Lawrence bp 1796
George Lawrence bp 1798
Lucy Lawrence bp 1800
They then had the following children baptised at Worcester:
On the 1841 census, Charles (71) and Hannah (70) were living at Bromwich Lane, Worcester. (Charles incorrectly recorded as "George") Also in the household were their son George (42) his wife Elizabeth and their daughter Elizabeth.[4]
Charles died in 1847, leaving Hannah widowed.
In 1851, Hannah (81) was still living at Bromwich Lane, where she gave her occupation as Market Gardener and her birthplace as Winchcombe. Also in the household was her daughter Charlotte Mears, (54, born Winchcombe) her husband Samuel Mears, and Hannah's grandson James Griffiths aged 3, described as a visitor.[5]
Hannah died in February 1855, aged 84, her death registered under Hannah Laurence[6]. She was buried at St John Bedwardine, Worcester on the 12th February 1855, when her abode at death was St Johns.[7]
