Biography

Unknown was Ho-Chunk.

Nothing is known of the father of Thunderbird and his sister (who was married to [Sand]), except that he was a member of the Thunderbird Clan. Late in life, he probably lived in the village at Big Green Lake, since that is where his son resided in 1832.^[1]

I searched for Unknown Thunderbird in Family Search and couldn't find anything to support his relationships or existence. Perhaps the surname is incorrect ... I have no idea without better information about this person. — Joan Szymczak

In order to have the system show that Thunderbird was the brother of his unnamed sister (who has a role to play in stories), it was necessary to create a profile for his father, about whom nothing is known save that he was a member of the Thunderbird Clan. Surnames in this tribe appear only relatively recently. — Richard Dieterle
