Biography

Henry was born in 1860[1] in Beverley, Yorkshire, England. At the time of the 1861 census the family lived at 11 Myrtle Street in the parish of Glasgow St George, Lanarkshire, Scotland, where Henry's father, James, worked as an oil miller.[2] By 1871 the family lived on Saturday Market in Beverley.[3]

At the time of the 1881 census Henry lived on Beckside and was a grocer and provision dealer.[4] In 1882 he married Jane Ann HADDLESEY.[5] The couple lived on Beckside in 1891;[6] they had moved to Potters Hill by 1901[7] but were back at Beckside in 1911, when Henry was a grocer and corn dealer.[8]

Henry died in 1917[9] at the age of 57.[10][11]
