Biography

David John Taylor is the son of Elizabeth and William Arthur Taylor. He went by "Jack."

In 1941, Jack married Dorothy Hazel Farmery, in New Zealand. They had one child, John Charles. Dorothy passed away in 1977.

Jack married widow Claudia Gwen (Scadden) Knauf (1919-2016) in 1980, in Hastings, New Zealand. ^[1]

Jack was an avid fisherman, and especially enjoyed fishing on Lake Taupo. They would take their caravan up to Lake Taupo for long stays.

They lived in Hastings for some years, eventually retiring to Taupo, where they built a house not far from the lake shore, with beautiful views of Lake Taupo.

Jack passed away in 1994, and is buried next to his first wife in Mangaroa Cemetery, Hastings, New Zealand. Their son is buried in a plot nearby, in the same cemetery.
