Research note: James Taylor is not listed in Robert Charles Anderson's Great Migration Directory. A James Taylor did emigrate from England in 1635. Whether he landed in Massachusetts or somewhere else entirely is uncertain. A James Tailer did marry Isabel Tompkins in Concord in 1641 and have at least one and likely three children with her there. Whether that was the James Taylor who emigrated in 1635 is uncertain. . But he seems a good candidate, until another steps forward.
No record found as yet, other than the passenger list cited below. Age 28 in 1635 would mean born in 1607, surely in England.
James Tayler appears on the passenger list of the Truelove of London, 10 Jun 1635: "Theis under written names are to be transported to the Bormoodes or Somer-Islands, imbarqued in the Truelove de London. Robert Dennis Mr being examined by the Minister of Gravesend concerning their comformitie to the orders and discipline of the Church of England as it now stands established: and took the oath of Allegeance.
