He married Ive McClary on 28 June 1832 at Franklin Co., Ohio, USA.[1][2]
He was a laborer in 1850 when he and Ive appeared on the census of 7 Aug. 1850 at Clay Township, Scioto County, Ohio.[3] He was a farmer when he and Ive appeared on the census of 28 June 1860 at Pike Township, Muscatine Co., Iowa.[4] He was a laborer when he and Ive McClary appeared on the census of 30 July 1870 at Benton, Fremont Co., Iowa.[5]
John died in April 1898 and was buried at Wyuka Cemetery, Nebraska City, Nebraska. His memorial has a photo, biographical material and links to those of family members.[1]
