Hi Tack cousins, spelling aside, can we not mark Cornelis's mother as certain (Annet Ariens-10)?

This has been sitting as uncertain for years but it appears the confusion was resolved. If not, can someone sum up the state of the controversy and uncertainty, particularly relating to the identity of the parties to his baptismal record, and what uncertainty needs to be resolved?

I removed the UNcertain indicator, but I have not changed it to "confident" because I'm not confident that we fully understand the family's story.

Until recently, the system did not allow those indicators to be blanked out after a value had been set. I think blank is the appropriate setting in this instance.

Tack-227 and Tack-20 appear to represent the same person because: Same birth, parents, siblings, death

Proper birth place should be Wiltwyck, New Netherland. In 1669, Wiltwyck was renamed Kingston.

Yes, Annetje is the mother of Cornelis who also married Van Etten.
I believe we know the mother of Cornelis Tack -- there's no dispute that Annetje was his mother. As with so many New Netherland settlers, there has been confusion about her last name -- whether it's a patronymic, preferred spelling of the patronymic (Ariens, Arians, Adrians, Adriansen, etc.), and whether there's also a family name of De Cram, Gelvins, or something else. Also there is a profile here that makes her into a mystery daughter of Adriaen C. van der Donck (who apparently is recorded as having had no children), and there is uncertainty about whether the baptismal record from Amsterdam is hers. But I believe it is clear that Cornelis' mother was the same Annetje who later married Jacob Van Etten.

The correct mother's spelling is still being researched.
Tack-39 and Tack-20 appear to represent the same person because: Same data (name, spouse, child).

added him to the baptism record image, names of father and mother mentioned as well here

The mother Annetje was tangled with another family. So, I'm going to remove her until we can untangle the mothers.
But don't merge it yet, because it still needs proper resolution on the mother matches, which is difficult.

Merging this now will only disconnect one mother, and so make the ancestor resolution more difficult to understand.
