Biography
Janet was born in 1840. She is the daughter of John Sutherland and Mary Unknown.
She married William Douglas in Wellington on 6th June, 1867.
They lived at ‘Te Mahana’, farming in the Hawkes Bay near Hastings. They had numerous children, some of whom did not survive to adulthood.
She passed away in 1914.
