Biography
Finlay Harper Sutherland was born on April 18, 1870 in Latheron, Caithness, Scotland, United Kingdom, son of John Sutherland (1835–1904) and Elizabeth Harper (1847–1910).
Finlay (24) married Margaret Ann Rankin (20) (born on November 24, 1874; daughter of Robt Rankin and Margaret Ann (McCrory) Rankin) in 1895 [1]
They had ten children in 16 years. He died on October 27, 1919, in Scotland at the age of 49, and was buried there. Their children were:
- Marion Elizabeth Sutherland (1901–1991)
- John Price Sutherland (1905–1942)
