Biography

William (Sutherland) Sutherland IIIrd of Kinstearie is a member of Clan Sutherland.

William was born about 1628. He is the son of John Sutherland and Lilias Hay.

William succeeded his father John as Laird of Kinstearie. Kinstearie (also spelt Kinsteary) is an estate on the eastern outskirts of the village of Auldearn in Nairnshire.

William must have been dead before 29th July 1698 which is the date on which his will was registered in the Register of Testaments for the Commissariot of Moray.
