I am actively researching ancestors in my Sutherland family tree as well as in my husband's Davis family tree. The Putnams and Van Winkles were early settlers in New York as a part of the DWI company and Palatine migration.

Hi Karen, don't hesitate to drop me a private message or email if you need any help or advice on your Sutherland ancestry.

Mark,

Thank you. I haven't been able to go back much further than our immigrants John W Sutherland & Euphemia Graham. My husband and I are trying to develop a personal history for our grandchildren & want to add more context to their story & have nothing definitive about why (assume that it was the highland clearings) or much about their life once landed in Nova Scotia. Would love to have you share some good sources.

Look forward to working with you.

Karen

Hi Karen and Welcome to WikiTree

Do you have any questions about our Honor Code? https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Special:Honor_Code

I'm happy to help!

Staci ~ WikiTree Greeter

Hi Staci, I think the Honor Code is pretty self explanatory. The questions I have right now are more operational i.e., How to correctly attribute a source, if there are any service level expectations on responses to posts from other people etc.

So far, I've only been documenting our family members up to 4 generations. Earlier generations I've been tapping into histories, some contemporaneous.

Thank you for your offer.
