John was born about 1845. He was the son of William Stranack and Hannah Webb.[1]
He emigrated from England to South Africa.

John married Henrietta Stranack Garland on 18 June 1872 in Verulam, Natal, South Africa. [2]

Jeweller.
Mayor of Durban in 1885. He officially opened the new town hall of Durban in 1885. [3]
Died
He passed away in 1905 at the age of 60 in Capetown after drowning at Clifton on Sea.[4]
