Paternal line Y-chromosome DNA test-takers:
1550–1614
BIRTH 1 DEC 1550 • Bedfordshire, England
DEATH 7 MAR 1614 • Millbrook, Bedfordshire, England
Married to
Maria Joan Maplet
1580–1614
BIRTH 1580 • Millbroke, Bedfordshire, England
DEATH 19 MARCH 1614 • Milbroke, Bedfordshire, England
"Stylles" births are listed as children of Thomas in the Bedfordshire Parish Registers. There was a transcription of the records published in 1939 by the Bedford County Record Office, Shire Hall edited by F.G. Emmison.
The only primary source I have found that provides possible evidence for the father of Thomas (a couple counties over from Bedfordshire) is from "The Records of the Worshipful Company of Carpenters: Vol. VI, Court Book, 1573-1594":
"Gilbert Thomplinson ys admitted to have as his Apprentice Thomas Stiell of the age of xxiiij years the sone of Edmond Stiell deceased of Samborn in the countie of Warwik Husbandman for the tearme of seaven years begyninge at the feaste daie of the Nativitie of St John Baptiste next ensueng the date hereof".
With that alone, it is impossible to know if Thomas "Stiell" of Sambourne, Warwickshire is the Thomas "Stylles" of Millbrook, Bedfordshire or if Edmond "Stiell" of Sambourne, Warwickshire is the Edmund "Style" of Langley, Berkshire who appears in the 1619 Visitation of Kent:

Has anyone found a reliable source for Thomas Stiles (father of Stiles founders of Windsor, CT) being the son of the Edmond Stiles of the 1619 Visitation of Kent (http://www.theweald.org/B10.asp?bookid=WBK412&v=0&xid=S&xnm=1&pd=1)? I have found this link referred to all over the internet, but I cannot find any primary sources. What I thought may be a promising lead was an LDS IGI record (https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.2.1/MM1C-CTK&view=basic). I obtained a copy of the original submission with the submitter's contact information, but it turned out that the submitter did not have any reliable sources for the submission. Thanks for any help.
