Biography
Milas was born in Feb 1887 in a sod house on his father's homestead near Chappell, Cheyenne County, Nebraska, USA. Cheyenne County was an original county, Deuel county was formed from Cheyenne in 1888. Milas was a twin. His twin sister, Minnie, passed away at the age of about 5 months from diptheria.
Milas was the son of Andrew Thomas (aka A.T.) Stewart and Mary Emma (Bomgardner) Stewart. He married Dora Gailys Burright in May 1913 in Logan County, Oklahoma, and they had 4 children. He passed away in 1974 in Guthrie, Logan County, Oklahoma, and is buried in the Crescent Cemetery in Logan County, Oklahoma.
