Biography

STEVENSON – The death of Robert Louis Stevenson Sr age 73 years of Saskatoon, formerly of Golden Prairie, Saskatchewan, occurred suddenly on November 17, 1979. Prayers will be offered in St Phillip Nerl Roman Catholic church on Monday evening at 8:00 pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 20, 1979, at 9:00 am. Celebrant of the Mass will be Monsignor B Morand. Surviving are his wife, Helen, one daughter, two sons, three grandchildren and one brother, Charles Stevenson. Mr Stevenson was predeceased by six brothers: Alex, Jim, Dick, Allan, Forbes and John. Mr Stevenson farmed in the Golden Prairie district for 30 years prior to his retirement to Saskatoon due to ill health in 1973. Interment will be made in the family plot in the Maple Creek cemetery at 3 pm on Tuesday afternoon. ^[1]
