JOHN STEVENS, b. at Boscawen, 7 Mar 1752[1] son of Phineas Stevens and Sarah Sanders; d. at Boscawen by 1780 (wife’s remarriage); m. at Boscawen, 8 May 1774, ELIZABETH JACKMAN, b. at Boscawen, 4 Jul 1758[2] daughter of George and Martha (Webster) Jackman;[3] Elizabeth d. at Boscawen, 27 May 1834.[4] Elizabeth married second John Flanders.
John and Elizabeth resided in Boscawen where John died by 1780. Elizabeth’s first child (John Stevens Flanders) with her second husband was born in 1781. There are records of two children of John Stevens and Elizabeth Jackman born at Boscawen.
John Stevens served in the company of Capt. Henry Gerrish which marched to Cambridge from Boscawen on 21 April 1775. Also in the company was John Flanders the second husband of Elizabeth Jackman.[5]
