Lydia R Starr was born in 1850 in Goulburn, New South Wales, Australia and was christened on 6 October 1850 in the Hunter River Circuit, Northumberland, Australia ^[1], the daughter of Edmund Starr and Mary Ann Starr.

She married Thomas Eggins on 14 December 1869 at Grafton, New South Wales, Australia ^[2] and they were the parents of Laura J Eggins, Charles Harlan Eggins, Amy Starr Eggins, David Wesley Eggins, Lydia A. Eggins, Edmund Oswald Thomas Eggins, Esther Annie (Eggins) Dillon, Searle Victor Eggins, Hedley Garnet Eggins, Ida E Eggins, Reginald Clive Eggins and Albert Carol Eggins.

Lydia died on 23 June 1925 in Alstonville, New South Wales, Australia ^[3] and was buried in the Alstonville Cemetery, Alstonville, New South Wales, Australia ^[4].
