Biography

Jane Creighton Smythe was born in 1842, her father, Thomas, was 36, and her mother, Jane, was 42. She married Thomas Finch on 29 May 1854 in Howick, Auckland. They had 12 children in 43 years. She died on 30 August 1927 in (Alexandria) Pirongia, Waikato, at the age of 85, and was buried there.

Jane Creighton Symthe was born in 1842.

Jane married Thomas Finch (born about 1823 in Sproughton, Suffolk, England). Their children were:

• George Creighton Finch (1855–1933)
• Jane Alexandra Finch (~1866–1924)
• Thomas Finch (1868–1910)
• Charles Edward Keith Finch (1869–1951)
• Alice Charlotte Finch (1873–1955)

Jane died on August 30, 1927 in Pirongia, Waipa, Waikato, New Zealand, aged 84.^[1] She was buried in Pirongia Cemetery, Pirongia, Waikato.^[2]
