In 1891, William Smith (44, head, married, Confectioner, born in Calverton, Nottinghamshire) and his wife, Mary (47, born in Shepshed, Leicestershire) were living in Nottingham Road, Loughborough, Leicestershire, along with their children, Annie Wright (Daughter, 19, born in Shepshed, Leicestershire), Hannah E Wright (Daughter, 17, born in Shepshed, Leicestershire), Mary Jane Wright (Daughter, 14, born in Shepshed, Leicestershire), Sarah Ann Smith (Daughter, 10, born in Shepshed, Leicestershire), Harriet Elizth Smith (Daughter, 6, born in Loughborough, Leicestershire) and Agnes Smith (Daughter, 1, born in Loughborough, Leicestershire). ^[5][6][7]

The birth of a son, Arthur William Ball was registered in Loughborough in 1903 M Quarter. ^[11][12]

The birth of a son, John Ball was registered in Loughborough in 1906 D Quarter. ^[13]

In 1911, Arthur Ball (32, head, married, engine machinist, born in Loughborough) and his wife, Sarah Ann Ball (30, born in Shepshed, Leicestershire) had been married 12 years and had had three children, still living: Harry (11), Arthur (8) and John (4). In 1891, that William Smith, his wife, Mary and children, Charles Smith, Sarah Smith, Frank Smith, Thomas Smith and Leonard Smith were still living in Field Street, Sheepshed, Leicestershire, ^[18][19]

There was also a Sarah Ann Smith (Birth date 11 May 1879), d/o Charles and Eliza baptised on 06 Mar 1895 in Shepshed. ^[20]
