Biography
Lavina was the dau. of Nancy Lavinia Bradshaw. Lavina "Vina" born to Joe Smith. Joe Smith, who was Cherokee and abandoned the family before Lavina's birth. Her mother married Riley Collins Ward. She was married to John B. Freeman and their son was Sim Freeman, one of several. Information from undated newspaper, references Maggie Smith's book, "A Sager Chastain Sojourn".
