Hi Robert,

Thank you for all the work that you have done for the Scotland Project. As you have not responded to our recent check in messages I presume that you wish to leave the project.

If you'd like to re-join us in the future, you can do so by replying to our current G2G Welcome post which is linked from the project page at https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:Scotland

All the best Sheena

Hi Robert,

It is once again time for our annual Scotland Project check-in. Please respond within the next three weeks to let us know:

•If you would like to continue as a project member •If you are happy with your current teams or would you like to join a different team •How much time per month (on average) you spend working on Scottish profiles •Anything you’d like the Scotland Project to do more of in the future

You can respond to this message by posting a reply below or sending me a private message on WikiTree. If we don’t hear from you within the next three weeks we’ll assume your interests have changed or you are no longer able to participate in the Scotland Project at this time, and your badge will be removed. If your circumstances change later you will be welcome to reapply for membership.

On behalf of the Scotland Project, I would like to thank you for your commitment to the project's goals. Every single contribution you make helps improve Scottish profiles!

Thank you so much for sending me the DNA results for the Sinclair family. I am assisting a friend with tracing her Sinclair ancestors so that she can obtain DAR membership. She is currently awaiting her DNA results and the chart you sent should be helpful in deciphering hers.

I noticed that in the profile that you built for Sinclair_AKA_StClair-1 he was born 1733, in Longformacus, Scotland, and so does not seem to be the same Arthur St. Clair, born in Thorso, son of William:

Janne the two profiles are indeed the same person. My info is correct for baptismal of Gen Arther StClair/Sinclair. Arthers father was Daniel brother to the William of Thurso who over the years has been mistakenly refered to as Arthers father. Arther was born in Longformacus where his father Daniel was posted as a Minister.

Hard to change old past very poor research done on Gen Arther as no one wants to believe it.Basically the same family just not the correct dates ,father, or birth location. What confuses it most is William did also have a son Arther but not the one who went on to be Gen Arther.

I have noted your bulletin board posting for General Arthur St Clair. I am not a descendant of his and my only interest is untangling the ancestors of "John of Exeter" from those of his. The common ancestor is John Sinclair, Master of Caithness.

Rather than posting birth certificates, or other documents as bulletin board messages, that might be removed by the profile manager, I suggest you contact the profile managers, directly, or open a G2G dialogue and get other interested parties involved.

I searched the G2G forums and did not find any discussion regarding your ancestor. Perhaps something could be accomplished like the table for another St Clair family found here: https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/104242/collaboration-on-sinclairs-of-roslin

Hi . I see that you just did the Pre-1700 Self-Certification. That's great! Is there a particular time period, location, or topic you're interested in? Maybe you have some historically-significant ancestors? Let me know. I can help you figure out if there's a project and introduce you to the project leaders.

Robert, Thank you for volunteering to help grow our World Wide Family Tree. You are now a member of the WikiTree Community. Please note we are trying to build one Collaborative Tree which means one profile per person. It is important to ensure no duplicates are entered as you add any Profiles to WikiTree - if you have pre-1700's ancestors to add please read our Pre-1700 profiles info.

If you need any help getting started check out the help section from the menu, top left, or head over to the Help section or head over to the G2G forum and take a minute to introduce yourself in the Tree House, you might also want to check out the introductory WikiTree video that a member created.
