Birth date is based on her parents marriage [2] and her own marriage date, assuming she was 18. [1]
The location of her marriage is based on believing that James Menzies was already Burgess of Edinburgh, possibly at the time of his marriage to Isobel Sinclair [4]
According to Wikipedia , Isobel married James Hamilton of Bothwellhaugh. MacGregor, Gordon, The Red Book of Scotland mentions only James Menzies.
Her father Oliver Sinclair profile also cites James Menzies as his daughter Isobel's spouse in the biography.

There are some assumptions and I should have explained why in my research notes: one is that her father was Oliver of Pitcairns, which seems to be in Perthshire. I could not find evidence that it was located elsewhere at the time. Also, her husband was Burgess of Edinburgh, again, I assumed they lived there. This all comes from the 'Red Book' which is still in the Scotland Project Reliable Sources. I have now added this explanation in the research notes along with references. That is all I have as a source, so, I flag these dates and location as 'uncertain'. I just hope that it is a good start to adding new people.
Apart from this 'Red Book' what is the reliable evidence that she was born so far away from home? What is the reliable evidence that she remained and married in Perthshire???
