Samuel B Shinn was born about 1824 in Burlington, New Jersey. He was a son of Clayton Shinn and Susan Gaskill. Samuel married Elizabeth A Stratton on July 22, 1849 in Mount Holly, Burlington.[1] In 1850, Samuel and his wife lived with his parents in Medford, Burlington, New Jersey. Samuel was a carpenter.[2]
From 1860 to 1870, Samuel, his wife and children lived in Southampton, Burlington, New Jersey. In 1870, his mother lived with them.[3][4] In 1880, he lived with his wife and children in Northampton, Burlington.[5] Their children:
Samuel was 62 when he died on June 16, 1887 in Northampton, Burlington, New Jersey.[11] He was buried on June 19th in Mount Holly, Burlington, New Jersey.
