Biography

James Shiel was probably born in Scotland before 1738.

James married Marion Whitehead on or after 2 June 1759 in Innerwick, Haddingtonshire, Scotland.[1] They had two known children:

  1. Andrew Shiell, born or baptised on 16 March 1760 in Innerwick,[2] and
  2. Marrion Sheill, born or baptised on 22 May 1763 in Spott, Haddingtonshire.[3]
