Research notes
Who were Eleanor's parents?
Many trees suggest that she is the Eleanor born to Robert Scott and Margaret Corry, assigning her to the 1779 baptism
But however well that Eleanor fits her age at death in 1846, that Eleanor rather inconveniently for her and us died soon after birth.
DNA
A FamilyFinder match is being investigated between Lorna, a descendant of Eleanor, and a descendant of a Margaret LAIDLAW nee SCOTT born about 1790 Kirkandrews upon Esk, CUL.
Data from other descendants would be very useful to validate this match for a potential sister.
