Thanks for your helpful message. I have not had a chance to spend any time at WikiTree but, when I do, I am certain that the info you gave me will be most helpful. Thanks again. CS

Hi Charlotte and thank you for upgrading, 😊

I am very pleased to welcome you to the WikiTree family, your contributions will go a long way to joining the world together.

It is best to start with the New Member How-To pages, they will save you a lot of time and frustration.

Thank you for adding your DNA to WikiTree. Getting the Best from DNA will tell you more about how DNA kits are used on WikiTree.

I am here to answer any question you have, no matter how trivial you may think it is. There is no such thing as a silly question. Please add as much information as you can, it all helps to turn a “name” back into a person. I hope you enjoy the site as much as I do.

Happy tree climbing

PS Did you know that Tags become clickable links to others researching those names, or places, that you are interested in. They also control what is included in the family activity emails from WikiTree.

Hi Charlotte I saw your comment on the Abigail Bristol profile. I am related to Bristols who mostly lived in Vermont. But if I remember right originally came from Connecticut. I went to see our “geneaogical relationship” but realized you aren’t a WT member. Anyone I hope you join sounds like you have a lot to add and we could collaborate. Thanks

Hi Kim...

Thanks for the note. I tried to upload my GEDCOM but I have over 10,000 people in it and I have to take special steps to upload. Incidentally, Abigail is in my tree because of her husband, Daniel Tucker. My Grandfather (with whom I grew up) was Perry Starkweather WILLIAMS. His mother was a Tucker...so, maybe we are related in several ways. I live in CT, my brother lives in Graniteville, VT

Hi Charlotte

I noticed that you posted on Abigail Bristol's profile. I'm sure that the profile manager will be looking at that.

You are welcome to use our database and G2G Forum for research. If you are interested in collaborating on the Bristol family and contributing to our shared tree, then you should upgrade. There is a link under your name, next to Guest Member on your profile to Upgrade

If you choose to upgrade and you have information and sources to help improve the profile, your collaboration with the profile manager would go a long way in making improvements. If this is your ancestor, you will be able to connect the profile to your branch of the tree. With your help, we can improve the story of your ancestors.

If you have any questions about how WikiTree works, log into WikiTree and go to your profile. Use the ‘Reply’ link below my comment to be sure I will be notified. Alternatively, click my name to visit my profile, where you can leave a comment, or send a private message.
