Margaret was born about 1693 to James Scot and baptised 6 Aug 1693 in Kilsyth.^[1]

She married John Sinclair 24 Jul 1712 in Kilsyth. A certain confusion existed around the marriage of John Sinclair and Margaret Scot as it was just below the baptism of another John Sinclair, son of Alexander. It has been determined that these are two different people and that the baby, John Sinclair was the nephew of the John getting married at the same time.^[2]
