He was the son of Henry Ryder, 4th Earl of Harrowby and Susan Juliana Maria Hamilton Dent.[1]He was born on the 22nd of August 1864.[1]He married the Hon. Mabel Danvers Smith, daughter of the Rt. Hon. William Henry Smith and Emily Danvers, the Viscountess of Hambleden, on the 16th of November 1887[1]at Henley, Oxfordshire, England.[2]He was a partner of Coutts & Company.[1]He died on the 30th of March 1956 at the age of 91,[1]citing Death, Stafford, Staffordshire, England.[3]
