Biography

William (Ruthven) Ruthven of Ruthven is a member of Clan Ruthven.

William Ruthven was the son of William of Ruthven.[1] Although his year of birth is not provided in source it is likely he was born between 1320 and 1335. He had safe-conducts in 1358-59, 1362, and 1363 and he is believed to have been of age at the first.[2]

He died before 25 June 1376.[3]

He married a lady by the name of Johanna, and a payment to Johanna, stated as his wife, is entered in 1363.[4]
