Mary Davidson was born 1 Jan 1854 to Mary Davidson in Banton, Par. of Kilsyth, Stirlingshire, Scotland.[1]
Note: The Parish register shows Mary DAVIDSON as the natural daughter of Mary DAVIDSON, preceded immediately by son John's birth 4 Apr 1849 (as surname CAMPBELL), both at Banton. The page contains births from 1839 to 1854 organised mostly by families.
Both Mary and John's later certificates and census records show them as RUNCIMAN,[2] but although Mary is likely to belong to George, George would only be 14 when John born, and his baptism was as CAMPBELL
