Birth and baptism

Helen Runsiman was baptized on 26 September 1724 in Spott Parish^[1] before the congregation. Her parents are recorded as "Alexr Runsiman and Janet Henry his wife" Their residence is recorded as Mickle Pincastoun ie Meikle Pinkerton, a small village 3 miles south of Dunbar.

Helen married Joseph Hamilton on 25 May 1759 in Dunbar Parish^[2]. They were recorded as "both of this parish".
