Biography

Alexander was born on 30 June 1855 in Dunbar, Haddingtonshire. He was the son of Thomas Runciman and Joan Watterston.^[1][2]

Thomas Runciman married Joan Watterston on 21 May 1854 in East Barns, Dunbar, Haddingtonshire. The couple had one child: Alexander Runciman.^[2][3][4]

When Alexander was 37 he married Elizabeth Thoms Baillie on 16 December 1892 in Prestonpans, ELN, SCT. The couple had one child: Thomas Runciman.^[5]

When Alexander was 67 he married Helen Preston on 16 February 1923 in Edinburgh, MLN, SCT.^[6]
