Biography

John was born in 1870. He was the son of Silas Rumbaugh and Sarah Furey [1] [3] [4] [7]. He had worked as a successful oil driller in western PA throughout his adult life [3] [4]. He married his 1st wife, Mary Bostsford when he was 26. [6] A year after he was widowed he married Jennie Mae Mangel. He passed away in 1938 after surgery for a ruptured appendix. [3] [4] There was only one child - a son- from his 1st marriage and none from his 2nd.
