Biography

This Rue family is not to be confused with the LaRue (Larrew) family, which was also in Bucks County Pennsylvania in the mid-late 1700s.

Anthony was born about 1752, and possibly in 1755.^[1] He married Catharine Hufty (sometimes spelled Hufty, Hafte, and other variations) on October 2, 1775 at Christ Church, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.^[2][3]

Sources state that he served in the US Revolutionary War.^[4][5]

He was living in Bucks County Pennsylvania, along with several of his family members, in the 1790, 1800, 1810, and 1820 US censuses for Bucks County Pennsylvania. He was also listed in the 1800 Pennsylvania Septennial Census of 1800.^{[6] [7][8][9][10]}He passed away before September, 1820.^[11]
