He was born on 01 Aug 1806 in Montgomery, North Carolina, USA and his parents were Sarah (Burleson) and Sherwood Rowland.
Mathias Rowland married about 1830 in Stanly County, North Carolina, USA to Nancy Ann Pickler.
On 29 Jul 1861 he enlisted in the North Carolina Confederate Army and served during the American Civil War. [1] [2]
He died on 08 Apr 1885 in Stanly County, North Carolina, USA.
