Elizabeth was born about 1863. She is the daughter of John Rowe and Hannah Dench. In 1881, at age 18, Elizabeth was a Pupil Teacher living at 39 St Marks Road, Kensington, London, England, with her parents, and her siblings Edward age 25, Clarinda age 24, Charles age 22, Mary age 19, Elizabeth age 18, Frederick age 14, Alice age 13, Henry age 11, Albert age 10, Catherine age 8, also a servant Jemina Ann Swondhall age 16, as well as Sophia Everson age 32, an Upholsteress.
