Biography

John M Rowe was born in 1835 in Tennessee, United States, son of William Rowe (1806–1888) and Mary Fincher (1808–1889).

John and Sarah Saylers were married. Sarah was born in 1830 in Kentucky. She was the daughter of William P Salyer and Elizabeth (Unknown) Salyer.

In 1860, John was living in Lawrence, Kentucky. [1]

In 1870, John (34) was living in Magisterial District 2, Boyle with his wife, Sarah (42); his siblings, Wm (20), Malinda Row (18), George Row (13), and Katie ? Pinks (6); and Jno Rowe (41), Lewis Row (16), Richard Row (11), Nathan Row (4), and Martin ? Row (1).

In 1900, John (64) was living in Magisterial District 7 Denton, Carter with John Row , and Cynthia Row.

In 1910, John was living in Slate, Menifee, Kentucky. [2]

In 1920, John (84) was living in household of Charles Rowe (43) in Magisterial District 5 Upper Ashland, Boyd with Charles Rowe (43), Rachel Rowe (41), Pearlie Rowe (18), Berthia Rowe (16), Gladys Rowe (10), Melton Rowe (5), and John Rowe (91).

John was mentioned on a memorial in Rowe Family Cemetery, Lawrence County, Kentucky with a death date of 25 Sep 1922.[3]
