Biography
Oliver was born in 1767. He was a son of Oliver Root (1741–1826) and Hannah Ashley Root (1748–1832). Oliver married first Esther (Noble) Hubbard, with whom he had no known children; he married second Sarah Burbank, with whom he had two known children: Oliver Burbank Root and Samuel H. Root. He passed away in 1848, and was buried at Hillside Cemetery, Castleton, Rutland County, Vermont.[1]
