Jeremiah Roden was born on November 3, 1754, in South Carolina. He married Susannah Kirkland on April 28, 1784, in Barnwell, South Carolina. They had 18 children in 39 years. He died on January 1, 1851, in DeKalb, Alabama, at the impressive age of 96.
